Online Experience A Reflection

        For the last 12 weeks we have been in online Expierence A learning different things about the computer, online safety, copyright and internet searching. What we learned about online safety was, to never give your password to anyone, if someone starts to bully you block them and tell an adult. Plus with online safety we learned about identity theft. With copyright right we learned about the many creative commons and what each stood for. Last but not least we learned about internet searching , like the boolean operators (and,or, and not) and the simple operators (" ", +, -). We also learned the different domains(.edu, .com, .net and many more) and the file types. (.pdf, .docx, .png and many more) Along with those few things we learned why technology is important. Technology is important because  it helps people to communicate in many different ways, over the phone, over internet, etc. It's also important because it makes most people's lives easier. I think this because, i know it makes mine and my families lives easier also. Technology has changed in many ways over the past five years. It now has hi-definition, more hardware space, it runs faster, there are lots of new inventions,etc. I think in the next five years that technology will become even more advanced considering the rate we're going now. I think there will be even newer versions of the ipod and ipad, etc. For school work i use the computer mostly. I use it for typing out papers and essays and for other classes like to look up help for an answer. For my own personal use i use alot of things like the computer, the wii, xbox 360, cell phone, ipod,etc. I think i will use some of the tools i had learned in online A in the future in many possible ways. You can use blogger for group things or to update picture to relatives that you moved away from. you can use Delicious for teaching to bookmark good websites to use and then share them with other teachers and many other tools that can be used for different things. I think igoogle and bloger are the most pratical tool for lifelong learning. I think Igoogle because its a way to communicate and you can add gadgets on it that can help you with things same with blogger. Alsoo for blogger you can post messages about feelings, reviews, certain topics, almost anything. My favorite tool to create was the podcasts and avatars, that is becaus its a way to let your creativity and imagination flow even though it was somewhat aggravating at times. My least favorite tool was the RSS Feeds and delicious. Yes, both are very useful but not really as a child are they that useful to you well thats my opinion anyways.
